About I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and medical herbalist with BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and also in Psychology, as well as additional training in nutrition, counselling and herbal medicine. I have a special interest in the treatment of women’s issues, particularly fertility problems. Primarily I see women who are struggling to conceive. I also treat premenstrual syndrome, painful or irregular periods and symptoms of the menopause. Additionally I have an interest in depression, anxiety and headache. I work from my own private clinic in Islington and can accommodate patients outside office hours. Traditional Acupuncture can assist with many health problems. Distinctively it does not address physical and psychological symptoms separately, but seeks to treat the patient as a whole person. As well as the experience of millions of patients, there is now a growing body of evidence-based clinical research to show that acupuncture works safely and successfully. |

Qualifications I took a degree in psychology at Edinburgh University and graduated from the first intake of the ground-breaking Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) degree course at the University of Westminster in 2000. I gained a diploma in QiGong Tuina (TCM based massage therapy) in 2001. Further training includes: postgraduate study in China; a year’s nutritional training at the University of Westminster; specialist training in the nutritional management of women’s hormonal problems; the use of acupuncture in fertility treatment; and a counselling skills diploma from Spectrum. I have completed the degree course in Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster in 2011 and am a member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy. |
